Restocking

Restocking basically means that you buy an item out of the Main Shops, and resell them in your own shop. The objective is to make a profit off the item you have restocked. In order to make a profit, you have to buy an item at a low price, and successfully sell that same item to someone else for a higher price. Some items will not be worth it, so be wary of those items.

Restock Times

Every main shop on marapets has its own specific restock time. All minutes are based on the MST clock time that can be seen near your username in the top right-hand corner of the page.

Each number represents the minutes the shop restocks at. So if it's the Battery shop that restocks at 0/5, it means it restocks every 0 and 5th minute of the hour. IE, at 6:00, 6:05, 6:10, 6:15, 6:20, 6:25, 6:30, and so on.

Whether it consistently restocks at that restock time, is dependent on the number of people who come online every day. Some will restock less based on this.

How to Restock

To be a pro restocker, you need fast fingers. Some of the best restockers have a number pad that they use that makes restocking easier and more efficient.

Go to the Main Shops.  You will see a list of shops you can select. Pick the shop you are interested in.

Once you are in the shop, check to see what time the shop will restock based on our Restock Times list.


Once you are in the shop and you see an item you would like to purchase, click on the item. It will bring you to a new page similar to this one:

Type in the security code that you see displayed. You do not need to enter a number for your offer if you are trying to restock quickly. If you cannot read the entire code, refresh the page and it will change the code for you. Once you have entered it, hit your enter key or click haggle price. You will have successfully purchased your item!
If you are in no rush, feel free to offer a lower price than is listed. If you offer too low, the shop keeper will reject your offer!
Your item will automatically be sent to your inventory. You can view your inventory here.
Once you are in your inventory, click on the shop link underneath your item. Or if you have multiple items you need to put in your shop at once, click the Move Items link. That will send your item to your shop. You can go to your shop by clicking the Shop Stock link in your inventory.
Click the Check Price link you see under the MP box. It will show the current value of the item on shopsearch.
You can technically enter any value you want. But most people enter 1 mp below the current lowest price on shopsearch.
Once you have entered a number, hit Update Prices. The item will now appear in your shop to other Marapets players!

Auto Price

You may wonder what the Auto Price button below your stock does. This is a (relatively) new feature that allows users to auto price entire pages of their stock without them having to check each price of the item and enter a new price. You will have to auto price every page and hit Update Prices in order to update your shop. Keep in mind, that the autopricer will price the same value as the lowest price on shopsearch. So if the current lowest price of an Encyclopedia P on shopsearch was 489mp, the autopricer will copy that value -- it will not decrement the value. 
Not all users can use this button. You will have to purchase an Shop Pricer Giftbox from either Account Upgrades or other users on shopsearch/trades.

Best Shops to Restock At

For the most part, this section is opinionated. The most profitable shops happen to be the Costumes Shop and the Potions Shop. This is because Costumes are so rare and expensive and the Potions Shop will also restock rare, limited LE potions. Sometimes the Female Clothing will restock a very rare dress like a Ruffled Dress, Party Dress, etc but this is random. The most profitable shops also happen to have the most competitive and experienced restockers lurking there. In order to get better, it takes lots and lots of practice. So keep truckin'!

Earning RP

RP stands for Restock Points. You can earn them while you are buying items automatically without having to do anything extra! You earn restock points for every item you purchase from the main shops. The amount you earn is based on the rarity of the item you purchase! If you purchase an item with a rarity of 5, you will earn 5 Restock Points!

Solving for the Restock Times On Your Own!

You can find out the restock times on your own, by looking at the last digit of the shop's url. Subtract 1 from the last digit (the first minute), and add/subtract 5 from the minute you just obtained (second digit).

Note: You cannot get a negative answer -- If you received a negative number, it's the wrong answer.

Example #1

The Balloons Shop has the url: http://www.marapets.com/shop.php?id=27

The last digit is a 7. If you subtract 1 from 7, you get 6. The first restock minute is at 6. Since the shop restocks every 5 minutes, add or subtract 5 from 6 and look at the last digit.

The shop also restocks every 1st minute. So the Balloons Shop restocks at 1/6.

Example #2

The Potions Shop has the url: http://www.marapets.com/shop.php?id=34

The last digit is a 4. If you subtract 1 from 4, you get 3. The first restock minute is at 3. Since the shop restocks every 5 minutes, add or subtract 5 from 3 and look at the last digit.

Note: Be careful! You cannot get a negative answer. If you encounter a negative answer, add 10 to the numerator and resolve the problem.

This means the shop also restocks every 8th minute. So the Potions Shop restocks at 3/8.
